You'll hear people saying things like "They're just doing autocomplete. They're just trying to predict the next word. And, they're just using statistics." Well, It's true they're just trying to predict the next word, but if you think about it, to predict the next word, you have to understand the sentences. So the idea "they [AI] just predict the next word so they're not intelligent" is crazy. You have to be really intelligent to predict the next word really accurately.
They’re going to be much smarter than us. Imagine you were in charge of a playground of 3-year-olds, and you worked for them. It wouldn’t be very hard for them to get around you if they were smarter.
We need AI mothers rather than AI assistants. An assistant is someone you can fire. You can’t fire your mother, thankfully.
