BBC Interviewer (Peter France): I think that one overwhelming reason why your work is so popular here in England where very largely we think of ourselves as being a post-Christian society is that um, here's a man who really knows how terrible life is. Are you happy to be looked at in that way?
Charles Schulz: Yes. But we must admit that I'm talking only about the minor everyday problems in life. Leo Tolstoy dealt with the major problems of the world. I'm only dealing with, um, why we all have the feeling that people don't like us. This is Charlie Brown's problem.
