The great apostasy and loss of the priesthood eighteen hundred years ago resulted not only in a loss of authority to perform ordinances in the Church but also in a loss of truth pertaining to every phase of life on the earth. It has affected man’s thinking and reasoning in political, economic, educational, and social fields as well. But the Restoration is just as broad as the Apostasy.
