The facts of experience, called knowledge, usually pertain to the visible world around us. When we venture into the unseen world, by the use of our subtler faculties, the knowledge thus gained is usually spoken of as faith. Paul made the distinction clear in his famous definition: “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Faith then becomes knowledge of a certain kind, won in a certain way. It makes known that which was formerly unknown. When the work of faith is finished, all will be known.Share
