The Prophet Joseph Smith extended a challenging invitation to the Saints: “I would exhort you to go on and continue to call upon God until you make your calling and election sure for yourselves, by obtaining this more sure word of prophecy, and wait patiently for the promise until you obtain it.” Latter-day Saints who have received the ordinances of salvation, including the blessings of the temple, may thus press forward in the work of the Lord and with quiet dignity and patient maturity seek to be worthy of gaining the certain assurance of salvation before the end of their mortal lives.
