On a serious note, your comment: "Perhaps it is to make us all stronger by having to try to work out the questions, contradictions, and conclusions ourselves...." is one reason I value and enjoy the discussions at this site.

It is interesting to me that God works this way.  Perhaps it is to make us all stronger by having to try to work out the questions, contradictions, and conclusions ourselves instead of just being given the answers in too easy of a way.  The God I believe in is definitely not a "snow-plow" parent.

This quote actually dovetails nicely with many of the quotes I've been publishing as I work my way through Pope Francis' "Evangelii Gaudium" (The Joy of the Gospel). You've commented basically as much after some of them.
