Finally on April 3, 1836, in the Kirtland Temple, Jesus Christ returned as promised, and Moses, Elias, and Elijah came to reveal additional priesthood responsibilities that would fulfill Moroni's promise. Moses delivered the keys of the gathering of Israel, Elias the keys of the Abrahamic covenant, and Elijah, the keys of the sealing authority.
