The more nearly perfect our lives are here, the more nearly perfect they will be there. If we have practiced principles of perfection, and sought the will of the Father here, then we will find it less difficult to continue on the same path when we pass beyond this mundane sphere. Now, what is the full duty of man? The Preacher says: “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear (love) God and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” (Eccl. 12:13-14). And the writer to the Hebrews says: “Therefore not leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith towards God.”—Heb. 6:1, Inspired Scriptures.
