The Color Code helps us to ‘get ourselves’ and then to ‘get others.’ Then The Character Code sets us on the road to “character” as we replace our limitations with strengths.”
Far too many of us spend our days criticizing others for their shortcomings rather than working to eliminate our own.
I realized that every color limitation has an antidote in one of the other colors. It takes humility to accept and acknowledge the things we do that limit us, then look for the antidote and work to develop it. This brings “character” versus simply slipping through life relying on our innate strengths and enduring our limitations.
As a YELLOW, I worked on being thoughtful for an entire year. My BLUE wife once commented that being thoughtful was such an easy task, perhaps I should work on something more challenging. So I said to her, ‘why don’t you wake up happy every day (something I do very easily) and see how hard different gifts are for different personalities.’ She didn’t say another word because she realized that what is easy for some colors is very challenging for others.
