Kobe Bryant was an iconic American professional basketball player. He spent his entire 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA, where he won five championships (2000–2002, 2009, 2010). Known for his scoring ability, Bryant was an 18-time All-Star and the 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP). He was born on August 23, 1978, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
