Jim Rohn (1930-2009) was an American entrepreneur, author, and motivational speaker. Born Emanuel James Rohn on September 17, 1930, in Yakima, Washington, he grew up on a farm in Caldwell, Idaho. Rohn began his career as a human resource manager for Sears but found his true calling after attending a lecture by entrepreneur John Earl Shoaff. Inspired by Shoaff, Rohn joined his direct selling business, AbundaVita, and later Nutri-Bio, where he became a successful distributor. He transitioned into motivational speaking in the early 1960s and spent over 40 years sharing his philosophies on personal development, success, and leadership.
