George Orwell

George Orwell (1903-1950), was born Eric Arthur Blair on June 25, 1903, in Motihari, India. He was an English novelist, essayist, journalist, and critic. He is best known for his dystopian novels "Animal Farm" (1945) and "Nineteen Eighty-Four" (1949), which critique totalitarian regimes and explore themes of oppression, propaganda, and individual freedom. Orwell's works are characterized by lucid prose, social criticism, and opposition to all forms of totalitarianism.
