Emily Dickinson
Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) was an American poet known for her unique and unconventional style. Born on December 10, 1830, in Amherst, Massachusetts, she lived much of her life in seclusion. Despite her reclusive nature, Dickinson was a prolific writer, composing nearly 1,800 poems, many of which were published posthumously. Her poetry is characterized by its unconventional punctuation, slant rhyme, and exploration of themes such as death, immortality, and nature. Although only a handful of her poems were published during her lifetime, her work has since been recognized as some of the most important in American literature.
