Brené Brown (born Casandra Brené Brown on November 18, 1965, in San Antonio, Texas) is an American research professor, author, and podcast host. She holds the Huffington Foundation Endowed Chair at the University of Houston's Graduate College of Social Work and is a visiting professor in management at the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business.  Brown is renowned for her research on vulnerability, courage, shame, and empathy. Her 2010 TEDx talk, "The Power of Vulnerability," is one of the most viewed TED talks of all time. She has authored several bestselling books, including "Daring Greatly," "Rising Strong," and "Braving the Wilderness." Brown also hosts two popular podcasts on Spotify: "Unlocking Us" and "Dare to Lead."
