Blaise Pascal
Blaise Pascal (1623-1662) was a French mathematician, physicist, inventor, and philosopher. Born on June 19, 1623, in Clermont-Ferrand, France, he was a child prodigy who made significant contributions to mathematics and science at a young age. Pascal is best known for his work on Pascal's Triangle, Pascal's Law (which relates to pressure in fluids), and the invention of the Pascaline, an early mechanical calculator. He also made important contributions to the field of probability theory in collaboration with Pierre de Fermat.
